Manual, upper-arm aneroid device for measuring blood pressure.
Available with or without stethoscope.
Description
Available:
- With stethoscope (4301-H)
- Without stethoscope (4301)

Indications:
For measuring blood pressure for monitoring or control. Suitable for both arms. The model with stethoscope additionally allows auscultation of low- and high-frequency sounds.
Features:
- With gauge for manual reading.
- Cuff with rubber bladder inside.
- Inflation bulb with deflation valve.
- Cuff with 2 outlets.
- Model 4301-H: includes a single-head stethoscope for measurement.
Instructions for use:
- When taking a measurement, the person whose blood pressure is being taken must remain lying down or seated. If seated, ensure that the cuff, placed on the forearm, is at heart level. It is recommended to rest the arm on a table and not move it during the measurement.
- Connect one of the cuff tubes to the deflation valve and bulb. Connect the other cuff tube to the gauge.
- Place the cuff on the left forearm. Pass the Velcro end through the metal bar at the other end and adjust the cuff to the arm without tightening. Ensure that the indicator arrow on the outside of the cuff is positioned over the artery.
- Place the stethoscope chestpiece under the edge of the cuff where the arrow indicates.
- While holding the bulb, turn the deflation valve knob clockwise and pump the bulb until the needle reads 40 points above the usual maximum pressure reading.
- Deflate the cuff slowly by turning the deflation valve knob counterclockwise.
- When you hear the first beat, note the value indicated by the gauge needle; this is the maximum (systolic) pressure.
- Continue deflating the cuff; you will hear the beats. When you stop hearing the beats, note the value indicated by the gauge needle; this is the minimum pressure (diastolic pressure).
- Deflate the cuff completely for storage.
