What is a urine bag<\/span><\/a> and which one should I use?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A urine bag is a medical device<\/span> made of PVC or similar material.<\/p>\n

It is a receptacle used to collect urine<\/span> from patients suffering from urinary incontinence. There are several different models, but the most practical distinction is between bed urine bags and leg urine bags. <\/p>\n

The Bed Urine Bag<\/span> is used for patients while they are lying in bed. The bag has a larger capacity, 2 liters, and is hung from the bed using a metal or plastic hanger. It may have a die-cut handle to make it more comfortable for the user to transport if they need to get out of bed. <\/p>\n

The Leg Urine Bag<\/span> is used for patients while performing routine activities, sitting or standing, and is secured to the leg with straps. The capacity of these bags is usually around 750 ml. <\/p>\n

They should be used in conjunction with a urine collection sheath, <\/span>for male users, or a urinary catheter,<\/span> for female users.<\/p>\n
